I found something interesting:
Something called Propolis (from Bees) was given to a group of infertile women with endo and within 9 months 60% became pregnant. In the Placebo-group 20% became pregnant. Apperantly the Propolis is very anti-inflammatory as well as immune boosting.
I have just yesterday bought some and will slowly work my way up to 500 mg 2 times a day as in the study. Hopefully I will be among the 60%:)

Oh wow... I will definitely talk to my doctor about this. My endo has not been 100% confirmed yet because I'm really scared about lap but I might have to go through with it to make sure since ultrasound was inconclusive. (The other diagnosis was possible IC and IBS combined). But either way, I have some kind of inflammatory issue that effects my reproductive system so I feel it could benefit me to at least ask!

Hi there
Since doctors are often times so critical don´t forget to mention that it was scientifically tested. Also, you don't need a prescription or anything to buy it and it has no side effects.
Best wishes Amber
PS what is IC and IBS?

Hi amber, this is v interesting. Where did u fing the paper and what is the recommendation for the start up dosage?

Dear Evon
I just stumpled over it when I was surfing the internet. Try to google it and you will probably find what I found. I only found a little resume of the study somewhere without many details so I don´t know if the women in the study were given the 500mg 2 x daily from the beginning or started with lower doses. I will just take 500 mg for the first 2 weeks. By the way, the capsules smell quite bad.

Hi Amber!

This is very interesting....

I have severe endo diagnosed by lap seven years ago..

As well as increasing fertility does this help with pain?

Good luck with your bfp! Let us know how it goes, side effects etc! xx

Hi there Casperess
I guess pregnancy would be the best pain-killer wouldn't it. But the little stuff I read was just about fertility. However, if the endo is fought by the propolis, I can imagine that the pain would also decrease. Have you tried endo-dieting? I am asking because I am just reading quite a few stories where dieting helped especially against pain. I hope I can soon try a 100% gluten, wheat and dairy free diet and see what happens.
Best wishes,
Amber

I know any food that reduces inflammation is also said to be helpful. I know lemon is good for inflammation of the skin/water weight/etc so I wonder if that could help? The only thing is it might be irritating if you have endo in your urinary tract... or it could help.. I never found it bothered me though. :) I have also heard cinnamon is an anti-inflammatory, but I'm not sure if that's true.

I don't have the time/money to get into specific diets like gluten free at the moment, but I might have to look into it for the future if this doesn't resolve another way. So far I am just trying to see what I can add into my diet to help as well as staying healthy in more basic ways like fruit/veggies and healthy fats/omegas/etc.

I am always up for trying anything that would help my problems...

The only issue i had was the endo diet was extremely restrictive... therefore like anyone who buys very healthyily it can become very expensive.

You have encouraged me to look at it again though as it has been a long time since i checked out the specifics. I took soy this month and was expecting all hell to break loose in terms of pms but i have had nothing! If only i could take that every month! It just shows the power of natural supplements and healthy eating.

The only time i have ever felt normal in my life was when i was expecting... it just seems the longer i try for the more easily the doubts slip in my mind that my specialists were right and it won't happen because time has passed. Oh well.... thank you Amber and Butterfly, you're both very inspiring x :hugs:

Dear Casperess
I told someone about the endo-diet once. It was in a forum like this and she was interested only because of her pain, she had given up on her fertility. So she avoided dairy and wheat and sugar for a short time and suddently she got pregnant. Amazing huh, so I guess if we can inspire each other maybe great things can still happen;)
Let me know how it goes with the soy and I will let you know how I do with the endo-diet. I do not think soy is for me though because it is not so good for endo as I have heard.
Amber

That would be lovely Amber, thank you for being so kind to me :hugs:

It's funny you know, regarding the soy. I was so nervous trying it because i was worried it would aggrevate my endo...

So far, it has been the complete opposite. I usually get very bad pms everyday after ovulation. Anything from sore boobs, heavy cramping, etc.

Since ovulation i have had nothing other then a few light cramps/twinges here and there.. a significant difference.

Unfortunately i haven't been able to find anyone that can concur what has happened and pin point it to the soy.

I'll keep you posted as to what my period is like. If that turns out to be lighter too then it would be such a shame to not be able to take soy regularly if it was the main cause!

xx

WOW- that sounds interesting. I am excited to hear how it goes with your period.
:hugs:
