Finn fell off the bed, he fell out of his high chair last week, and now this, my beds pretty high too, a good 3 foot drop on to hardwood floors...

He didnt cry that much compared to his other fall, he was on his belly when i picked him up so i'm not sure how he landed, he was really sleepy afterward but he was also due his nap...

hes now been asleep for an hour and i'm just worried, I dont wanna try and wake him up incase hes just tired, he can sleep anywhere between 30 - 90 mins in a morning, he was laughing at me before he went to sleep

I keep checking hes breathing and i keep googling horrible shit

how bad am i? 2 falls in less than a week:cry:

should i wake him up? what do i hafta look out for?

:hugs:
I'm sure he'll be fine. Just leave him to sleep. He's probz forgotten all about.
I don't really know what to look out for after a fall so I'm not much help.
I just wanted to say LEAVE GOOGLE ALONE!! IT'S EVIL!!

:hugs:

When my nephew was about 18 months he had a really bad feel when I was looking after him. I felt so guilty and I rang NHS direct. They asked if he had cried straight away - if the answer to that is yes then thaqts a good thing. They asked if he looked sleepy or dazed....I said he was sleepy anyway and that was partly why he fell so she said that seemed OK. She also asked if any white stuff was coming out of his ears and either his mouth or nose (maybe eyes?!) I'm crap at remembering but he didn't anyway. She said he seemed OK from my answers but I could take him to a walk in centre if I was really worried....so I did and he was absolutely fine. All they did was feel his bump (he had a HUGE bump on his head) and said it was OK because it was squishy underneath.

Sorry if thats a bit vague - my memory is rubbish.

Hope he's OK :hugs: xxx

ok he didnt cry straight away, so thats not good?

hes been asleep for 1.5 hours now, hes not moving, no normal sleep noises no nothing :(

Try ringing NHS direct & see what they say..... But I'm sure he's absolutely fine, probably just shocked himself and tired him out.

It might just put your mind at rest hun, don't worry about the two falls xx

If you're worried get him checked out, if only for peace of mind!!!
Adam fell of the bed on Saturday and screamed straight away then fell asleep but he was due a nap anyways. When Finley wakes up just make sure he's alert. Watch out for him being floppy, lethargic any differences in his pupils (one larger than the other etc) being any more sleepy than usual!!! I'm sure he'll be fine. You are NOT a bad mum, so don't beat yourself up!!! :hugs: to you and Finley!!!

max fell off our bed a few weeks ago, and hit his head. i took him to hospital and they checked him over and said he was fine, they said to look out for blacking out, floppiness, and vomitting later on, also they said the fact that he cried lots straight away was a good thing because he it meant that he didnt go unconscious or get a concusion (sp?) id say when he wakes up either call NHS direct or take him to a&e, babies always get seen straight away (well they do here.. im assuming its the same in uk 2) xxx

If your worried Id wake him up and take him down the walk in centre, chances are he is fine hun babies are very bouncy but just for your peace of might be worth it :hugs:

if your worried get him checked out for peice of mind. im sure hes fine but doesnt hurt to get him checked out xxx
