Does anyone here do freezing cooking? I'm always looking for more ideas for the freezer and would love to throw around some ideas!

Some of the things I like to make and freeze are:

Chili
Cheddar Soup (I usually add bacon or ham)
Baked Ziti
Tomato Soup
BBQ Chicken
Manicotti
Sloppy Joes
Black Bean Soup
Applesauce
Spaghetti Sauce
Pirogies
Ham and Potato Casserole
Southwest Roll ups
Chicken Tacos
Peanut Butter & Jelly
Smoothies
"Dump" Chicken
Lasagna
Waffles
Pancakes
French Toast
Breakfast Bowls
Garlic Bread
Twice Baked Potatoes
Taco Soup
Harvest Apples
Chicken Potato Bacon Bake
Paninis
Hamburger in 1 pound increments
Cubed Chicken in 1 pound increments
Full Chicken Breasts
Pork Chops
Shredded Cheese

Yumm! Do you find they all freeze well?

I'd like to put together the large bags that are ready for the slow cooker for winter and need ideas on that as I want tried and true recipes!

Hi Eve!

Everything I have on the list freezes well for at least a month. The casseroles I usually can freeze at least 3 months without any issues. I haven't had anything in the freezer past 3 months, but I'm sure it could go longer without issues. Pinterest is amazing for ideas.

I do BBQ Chicken and other "dump" chicken bags for the slow cooker. I just put the raw chicken breasts in a gallon bag, mix up a sauce and pour over the chicken and freeze. Then I take it out to thaw in the refrigerator a couple days before I want to make it in the slow cooker.

Crockpot BBQ Chicken

4-6 pieces boneless skinless Chicken Breasts (depends on size)
1 bottle Original Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce
¼ cup vinegar
Red Pepper Flakes (1/8 - 1/4 tsp or to taste depending on how spicy you like it)
¼ cup brown sugar
½ - 1 tsp garlic powder

Mix all ingredients in a gallon bag and freeze. Thaw in refrigerator 2 days before ready to use.

Cook on Low to 4-6 hours or High for 3-4 hours. Stir occasionally. Can either serve as whole, or can shred and serve on buns.

EnjoyO:)

Definitely going to try and do some meals and freeze them :)

The BBQ chicken sounds delicious! I think I have everything here for it but the chicken, including the sweet baby ray's sauce :haha:
