I was talking to my oh about how we will get our son to write his letter to Santa on 1St Dec and my oh commented that it would be cool to sent the letter the old fashioned way of chucking it in the fire place

I was like yeah great idea except we don't have a fire place

I want to do this as well think we'll go to OH's sisters house she has a fire lol

We didnt have a working fire when we were little so we used my granny's. We used to love it.

We now do the same, except rather than put their actual letters up the chimney, we send the kiddies outside and stick scrap paper up the chimney to make it spark. This of course is the magic that sends them to Santa! And then I keep their letters for me!
