Hiya

Does anyone else have fussy eating toddlers? My lg is 3 and for over a year now has been nightmare eating. She had cmpi as a baby and so was on lots of meat potato and veg. As shes got older her likes have dropped dramatically. She will eat jam sandwiches, ham sandwiches, toast with jam, sausages, pasta shapes, cereal without milk, the odd chip or waffle, sausages, turkey numbers or chicken dippers, sometimes pastabake, pizza, breadsticks and fruit till it comes out her ears!

Ive tried not giving her what she wants but then its where I draw the line with giving an alternative etc as she just wont eat. She was under a dietician who when I was pg with my 2nd said to give her what she will eat as her tastes will change. But I feel awful thay she doesnt eat great but I would rather her eat than starve! I always try to dish her up some of what we have also so she can try that if she wants.

I just feel so stressed with working full time then getting home and cooking (she wont eat stews, potatoes, eggs, beans, meats etc) but I want to know she is eating. My lb who is 15 months also has cmpi, we tried unsuccessfully to wean him a couple of months ago so will be trying again in about a month.

Please tell me my 3yo isnt the only fussy one. Lol. Her dad can be v fussy which doesnt help, I eat almost everything. Haha. Xx

Yes I have a fussy eater ... well he's not even just fussy he just doesn't ever want to eat.

I've tried everything so I just accept this is what it's like now. I still offer him all sorts for every meal but mostly he will just eat yogurt and cheese.

His weight is ok so I don't really worry now but still wish he'd eat better. I won't give up trying so I just hope he snaps out of it. He's pretty stubborn so I'm not that hopeful!

I know it's frustrating :(

My 3 year old is the same. He never used to be like it but now he only eats bland foods the same ones over and over. I've tried everything and eventually went down the if you don't eat you get nothing else route. That's hasn't worked either. Thomas has sensory processing disorder so these foods are the only things he will tolerate. I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. :dohh:

So glad Im not alone but wish our lo werent fussy. Lol. Although I would rather her eat something than nothing. My lo is only a dot really so it has worried me. Im glad she eats fruit at least. Lol. Xx

My LO is the same and had been for about a year. I make sure he gets his vitamins and always dish him up some of what we're having alongside something he will eat and try not to stress about it. I can't force him to eat it when he doesn't want to and as long as he's eating (he's a teeny one as well) then I'm not too fussed about what it is at the moment. I'm pretty sure he'll get bored of the same thing over and over at some point and try something else.

Me worrying about it definitely makes it worse so that's what I try and work on.
