Ok I'm sure you guys see these alot, I'm new to this BTW anyway. I have gotten an u/s at 16 weeks 3 days and my doc said she was pretty sure it was a girl, at my 20 week 1 days u/s I asked her to check again and she pointed out that there were 3 white lines and that indicates girl and shes sure. But I dont know what I was looking at. but I was like ok I asked if she was sure a couple times and she said yes shes sure its a girl. unfortunatly I didnt get any pic.
In my 24 week I'll ask again LOL (I get an u/s every appt) anyway my concern is do ya think she could be wrong??? I have read so many places where docs confuse gender. My niece just had a baby and at 8 mo they told her boy and she had a girl!!! ive read alot of boys turning out to be girls, and some girls turning out to be boys but only cuz the doc says theres no penis present so they assume girl.
Could a doc say she saw 3 lines and be wrong twice?? have this happned to anyway or have you heard of this?
I'm really really scared especially about what happened to my niece!! she was 8 mo how do they confuse that?? she had everything blue!! and I have so much girl things I try to shop some yellow but cant find much.D
I have a 3 yr old son already and always hoped for a girl since I could remember, and i had a feeling this one was a girl, but why doesnt it feel right now that its comfirmed.

with it bein confirmed twice then i'm guessin its right so don't worry... if ur gettin another scan then ask again jus to be sure... but i'd assume girl xx

We were worried our girl would turn into a boy - she's a year old now, and still a girl ;)

To be honest I have heard that this happens mostly in the cases of girls becoming boys but if it has been confirmed twice you should be okay. I got told boy last week but the sonographer only looked once and really quickly so i may have a private scan just to be confirmed again as i am so worried he will become a she and i am doing the nursery blue.

I had my 20 week scan an was told 'girl', she said she saw 3 white lines, but I couldn't see what she was pointing out! I went foe a gender scan 2 weeks later to get it confirmed, and was told 'girl' again, so now I believe it lol.

I think if you have been told twice, and the 3 white lines were seen, then it is pretty sure you are having a baby girl! Congratulations, xx

I also got my daughter confirmed at 18 weeks, 20 weeks, 24 weeks and 28 weeks just to make sure - she remained a girl all those times and they weren't all with the same sonographer. I think its pretty certain yours is a girl, but maybe wait til the next scan if you are worried and ask questions - ask the sonographer what they look for on a girl and what they would see differently on a boy - getting them to talk and tell you usually makes you feel more confident.

I am hoping to find out the gender of this one on Wednesday and will also have it rechecked at the 20 week scan and possibly later scans too.
