Genetic test results

My gyn phoned with the results of the tests on the "products of conception" (ugh, hate that term). They showed that the baby I mc 6 weeks ago didn't have any trisomies or other common genetic / chromosomal defects. That is great news for us as we have a DD with Downs and, as much as we ADORE her, we were so scared of having another baby with a chromosomal / genetic disorder. She said they can't tell why we lost the baby but it was probably something structural or a rare defect not picked up in the general tests. This makes us braver to try again!

Im glad you got good news (well in one sense anyway). Sometimes mc just happen with no explanation of how or why but when you have genetic issues, its never far from the back of your mind. Good luck x
