Hi ladies,
I was wondering if you could tell me what tests they do in Canada (specifically Vancouver) at this stage of pregnancy.
Is it:
- ultrasound to check NT and nasal bone and other things
- AND a blood test (PAPP-a)?

or just blood test? or just scan?

Thank you.

They did both on the same day for me, and I had to do another blood test a few weeks later on a specific date they gave me... i think at 16 weeks?

They do a combined usually a blood test and a nuchal translucency scan to test for the trisomys . They combine the results and give you a score to tell your risk level.

The ultrasound has to be done between 11-13 weeks to be accurate, but the blood test can be done after
