Getting LO to drink water and/or juice

Does anyone have any tricks to get their LO to drink water and/or juice? I have been trying for a few months to get DS to, but he hates it. I have tried giving it in a bottle, sippy cup and even try to trick him into thinking its food on a spoon. I have tried straight water, mixing it with juice and many types of juice. He will not drink it. I have left bottles and cups around his play area to see if he will take it on his own, but all he does is play with it and makes a mess

I wasn't so worried about it before, but now that he is getting more soilds and we are weaning milk feeds he needs to get fluids.

Have you tried from a cup without a lid? My LO was the same until I tried without a lid, now she's even started drinking using the spout!

Try different temperatures my son only like it very cold with I've and he doesn't get juice even at 19 months

Thanks ladies. I tried your suggestions over the last few days and he still spits it out I will have to just keep trying.

My lo likes to watch me drink water and then he tries to grab the glass to drink some too and I let him...maybe try to drink some in front of him and make it seem like it is the best water you have ever tasted...lol. Maybe he will think it is good if mom does too? It may be a long shot but worth a try.

I;m in the same situation with my LO but he will have a couple sips without the lid like someone else said but i dont know if it was a one off, i'm just going to keep trying different cups and a bottle as i havent tried that yet because i really wanted him to have his drinks other than milk from a cup but its better than nothing!
