Getting ready for weaning

Hi, I am planning to start weaning on Saturday and wondered what equipment I need. If I go by what magazines say I need to buy enough to restock my kitchen! Just wondered what the absolute essentials are.

All i had were some little plastics pots to store the food in the freezer, a hand blender and some spoons. Not quite sure what else they could justify you needing? You dont need much though
