Hi ladies, just looking for a bit of help really... have been doing lots of research and still can't seem to understand what I'm meant to be doing!!

My little Aiden will be 1 on 4th October... he has 3 bottles a day now of formula milk (one before morning nap, one before afternoon nap and one for bedtime) each are 6oz.

He drinks water from his "sippy cup" at each meal time - but I have read people have weaned their LO's from bottles even from 6 months - have I left it ridiculously late!? Is he supposed to be having all milk from a sippy cup now, I just feel like I'm going crazy not knowing what I'm doing... he just has these bottles before naps and bedtime... he doesn't need them to fall asleep though, I just have naturally been giving him the milk in a bottle...

Should I be giving him mik in a sippy cup before naps and bed, or no milk at all??

I will be moving him onto cows milk once he has turned 1.

Thank you for your help in advance... I feel like I'm going a bit crazy with what I should be doing! x

Sounds like you're doing fine! My baby wouldn't drink milk from a cup until 14 months. She just refused. I have never heard of milk from a cup as young as 6 months unless it was a BF baby who wouldn't take a bottle, or something. It's more important that they drink the milk before a year, than what it is drunk out of.
The NHS advice is to have them off bottles by a year ideally.

Connah will drink his milk from a cup at breakfast but bedtime he still has a bottle. Reason being that he wont take it from any sort of cup and id still like him to have it for a while longer yet for the calories etc.
Dont worry too much though hun,he will soon get the hang of it xx

sorry to hijack the thread but I am in a very similar situation. My question is can you pur cows milk into bottle to begin with till they get used to the taste etc?? She now has a cup in the morning and a bottle in the evening but wont drink cows milk!! not sure what to do really
