As the title states, I'm getting very frustrated with my anterior placenta as I just can't feel my baby move :-( how am I supposed to know if he is ok?? I've had a few little kicks here and there but next to nothing in the last couple of days. I'm away for the week so haven't even got the luxury of my Doppler. I've got a scan on Tuesday but that seems forever away. Sorry for moaning :(

I felt baby for the first time this morning... and I wasn't even fully awake yet, so I didn't even enjoy it much. Just a few minutes ago I was trying to feel it again, with no luck. I guess we just have to put up with it. I don't even have a doppler cos the ones that sell here are crap and ridiculously expensive... the ER had a local one and all we could hear was static noises.... so... I guess not being very helpful lol

Drink some orange juice and lay down on your left side.

I too have an anterior placenta and I only feel him move if I'm sitting with my legs crossed, just eaten something cool or laying on my right side.. X

I was the same at that many weeks could feel nothing but did just after that and now i can see my stomach move. So you will.

don't worry you will feel baby soon.. I felt like you, I was so upset. I started feeling my little man about 22/23 weeks, im now 30 weeks and sometimes I wish he would just calm down a little :haha: x

I started feeling regular kicks from about 24 weeks. My OH had only felt the kicks in this past week.

They told me I had an anterior placenta too but I feel regular kicks most of the time. He likes to wait until he thinks I'm going to sleep to start kicking me.

I started to wonder what the rolls felt like that other moms talk about feeling, until I saw "Alien Baby Belly" video on youtube... I think I'm content with holding off for awhile now lol

Thank you for all your replies :flower:
I guess I just expected the movements to be the same or similar as during my last pregnancy where I had regular movement from about 17 weeks, which was very reassuring. Hopefully once he gets bigger I will be able to feel more movements.

i has this with my last son...i didnt feel him move to much later in the pregnancy and then not strong, no pattern and very very rare..
so much so that my x husband never ever experienced him move at all and felt left out...for me that was sad cause he couldnt enjoy

but im told its normal

I waited since 17 weeks and FINALLY felt him move at 23 weeks (I'm 25 now). I have felt him move everyday since and I even think I felt him move in the outside tonight! I know it seems like forever away but you will feel your baby :) good luck on your us! I paid for a private one so I could see my baby since I couldn't feel him and it was amazing!!
