So I thought I'd ask you if anyone else has been packing their hubbies/partners off with pumpkin seeds and making them drink pomegranate juice in the morning?! It does make me giggle thinking of him sitting there at work nibbling on his seeds. He's humouring me though! I read in a few books that pumpkin seeds are great for men's sperm because of the zinc, along with pomegranates.

I've also been trying to get him to cut down on coffee and booze! He is now only having one cup of coffee a day and is drinking far less. Poor man but hey ho I just thought, well here we are not eating pate/raw shellfish/brie etc etc, why should men have it so easy?!!

WOuld love to hear your stories of what you've been getting your men to do...

Oh also, last night he wanted to have a hot bath and I was like NOOOOOO!! haha

Hehe..

I bought my dh lots of loose boxers, as he used to wear tight boxers, making him eat seeds, giving him a hard time for drinking coffee, so much so that he's given up! Got him eating tuna sandwiches instead of cheese (read somewhere that tuna is good), generally making sure he's eating 5 a day! All that along with the concoction of supplements I'm feeding him - zinc, folic acid, vit c, vit d, horny goat weed. lol hope it all pays off! :D

Ah good plan with the boxers!! I think they don't mind too much really, as well it takes two to make a baby :) I also got this flaxseed and goji berry powder he sprinkles over his cereal, bless his cotton socks, makes me chuckle. I was just thinking that I had taken pre natal vits three months before trying and he is not a man to take vitamins so this is better than nada. Luckily he is quite healthy on the whole! Not hear about horny goat weed? Sounds v interesting!!

Hope it all pays off indeed :)

we both have a very healthy diet anyway so im not really packing him off with things like you ladies do altough i admire all the effort you put in me and my oh had all this discussion and came to the answer that we have a very healthy diet anyway and if people living off takeaway and alcoholics can get pregnant just like that then why cant we when we have a healthy iet without adding other supplements etc to it .. we enjoy our reationship and trying for a baby but dont want that to take over our lives like it did for a few cycles after our miscarriage going back t the chilled out way and just tracking ovulation

I got him to start taking multi-vitamins and a zinc supplement but I have no control over what he does eat when he isn't in the house, I'm hoping the vits will make up for any thing that is lacking.

We both take multi vits and eat a really healthy diet and barely drink anyway. I have been nagging him about his boxers and using the laptop on his knees rather than his lap.

I sometimes think that exactly, that so many people get pregnant when they aren't even trying and thinking about their diet!

My husband's very good at taking his vitamins and has stopped putting the laptop on his lap. He's cutting down alcohol as well which is great (not that he was the biggest drinker anyway) - but I'm having less luck persuadingh him to stop having a sauna after his squash games. His argument is he only has really quick ones now...

My poor hubby where do I begin.

He has cut down on coffee and booze, didn't drink that much booze to begin with but did have bottles some nights, he only drinks now when we go out, which isn't that much.

He takes Korean Ginsing and is eating Tomato Soup and anything slightly red in colour like it's going out of fashion, and has a bag of mixed nuts and Brazil nuts every day in with his lunch :haha: good job he likes it all :winkwink: not that he gets much choice.

I tried with the boxers but he said the one's he has aren't that tight, so we compromised and he is now commando (sorry if that's TMI).

I'v told him if we don't get that :bfp: this mth we are both going on Maca next cycle, as far as I'm concerned he wants a baby as much as me if not more and he has to put as much effort in.

Heya, ooh I didn't know about the whole tomato/red thing, v interesting!

Commando, that is brilliant, I bet he enjoys the freedom to be honest :happydance:

Totally agree with you, our men have to make some efforts too!

Hehe, thankfully my hubby likes being healthy, so he doesn't throw a fit...

But he's not allowed to drink alcohol or go in the hot tub. I have him eating oatmeal with cinnamin and flax seed oil, taking his vitamins night and day, feeding him salads at least a few times a day, and pushing fruit into him (which he's not fond of).

I don't even let him wear his house shorts because they're quite "tight" on him. No need to squish anything or overheat them!
