Gift for Baby Shower Hostess

Did any of you give a "thank you" gift to your hostess? If so, what did you get her/them?

I am having a shower thorwn my by a good friend of mine on Saturday, and it just occured to me some gift may be appropriate.

I didn't get a hostess gift... I did think about it... but as I threw my besties shower last year and she threw mine this year... neither of us got a gift for the "hostess". BUT- I do plan on sending her a thank you card, and might include a gift certificate for her and her hubby to go out for the night and we'll offer to watch the kids... something like that?

Otherwise I think a nice bouquet of flowers and a lovely note are perfect... or maybe a bottle of wine if she drinks? Or perhaps a good smelling candle- something simple, but cute.

My mom, and sister and best friend are working together to throw my baby shower, my best friend lives 2 hours away and is a nursing student, so i am going to get her a bottle of wine and a cute wine glass as a thank you, and I took my mom and sister out for pedicures yesterday as a thank you. They loved it!

I brought my bestie who threw my shower a bottle of wine. She's a big drinker though, so ymmv.

If I have a shower, I will be throwing it, so I'll be sure and get myself something nice!

I'm half joking. Kind of sad there is no one to have a shower for me, so we may be having a shower-like party if we can get the house ready in time.

my two sisters threw my shower for me..but i did help. so i had them made a shirt. that says team blue...and aunt on the back
