Gift for Baby Shower Hostess

Did any of you give a "thank you" gift to your hostess? If so, what did you get her/them?

I am having a shower thorwn my by a good friend of mine on Saturday, and it just occured to me some gift may be appropriate.

I have also posted this in the 3rd Tri forums, but just trying to get as many ideas as possible

I was also thinking about this today, my bestfriend is planning mine with the help of her mum so I'm thinking a nice expensive bouquet of flowers for them both x

My bestfriend is also throwing me a shower but in November....anyway I thought about what kinda gift I could give her to show my appreciation. I know my bestfriends likes so I was going to make up a basket for her of things I know she likes (for Ex: she likes carebears, bath and body works, graphic tees) I decided to be creative. Hope this helps

When I had my bridal shower a few years ago, I made a giant gift basket for the hostess. I like to can, so I put in jars of homemade jellies, sauces, spreads, salsa. I added a bag of 'gourmet' tortilla chips and muffins to go with the condiments, and a bunch of Yankee candle votives. I had gone to the craft store and got a huge basket, that fluffy filler paper confetti, and shrink wrap, and put it all together at home. She loved it! It was stuff she liked, and was a whole lot better than spending $100+ if I got it at the florist shop...
