Okay, so admittedly making this thread to help myself but it does seem a good idea. If it flops great, if not EVEN BETTER!

So you post a person your really struggling to buy for e.g Brother, then post some key notes ie, 24, into cars, won't want clothes or books, between £10 - £20

Then everyone on here, from the ideas they have found on the net, have bough for someone similar or have bought a previous year suggets things for these people.

This is mainly cos i am and always have been terrible at buying presents, i dont like to be boring with it and i liketo get things i think people will actually like and use, not the same old sh*t if you et me, so any wacky things for me to have a look at would be so appreciated.

Ill start...

Sister,
22,
girly,
doesnt like cheap (snob lol!),
single
and likes pretty feminine things.

Dad,
44
workaholic,
likes golf, football and socialising,
not into anything too jokey but likes a laugh...

Any suggestions?

x

Your sister.. You could get her a handbag and fill it with make-up and pink tissue paper! Id love that, its really girl and doesnt have to cost much atall aslong as the presentation is nice :)

Your dad... Hmmm now thats a hard one, Men are always hard to buy for! Perhaps something work related that he could use in everyday life? Something practical always seems to go down better than something that just looked nice on the shelf.

Could anyone help me out..

Brother
12
a CHAV :(
Sporty

Don't want to spend more than 30 pounds

Thanks

mmmmmmmmm i've asked dh for a male point of view n he suggests a pair of trainers or a hooded top.

Dh
loves bikes
has everything

An experience day gift voucher? something to do with the bikes maybe? dunno how expensive that works out tho.... :(

brother
17
learning to drive, training as mechanic
hates books, sports, clothes (you see why i need help?!)

hmmm...
i wish i could help.
you ladies have hard ones!! LOL...

tiggertea, what about some tool he'd require for the mechanic thing? i'm going home to see my family this weekend, and my brother is also a mechanic apprentice, i'll ask him if there's anything reasonably priced that they require for the job... but then again, that's nothing too fun for christmas!! but if he's a pain in the rear, you don't have much choice!!! LOL... OH said tools too! what about some movies? or cd's?

dippy dee - what kind of bike? like, mountain bike? bmx? motorcycle?

LongRoadAhead - hmm... how does he dress? when i picture Chav here, which isn't said the same (i had to google it... LOL) .. i picture baggy clothes... it tells me white trash for our slang.. that is what you meant right?? lol.

LilFlower - LongRoadAhead's suggestion sounded good for your sister... I'm not too sure about your dad though!

Nataliecn, Thank you for your reply :) Il post a picture of him so you get the idea, He always wears trackies, nike trainers, nike top etc London 024.jpg
Tiggertea- How about something to do with mechanics? Maybe a toolbox or boiler suit thing. You could get him a toolbox and get a couple of tools to go in it, or a driving test disc? Iv got one of them and there great!!

Dippydee- Has your DH got his own bike? You could buy him something to customize it? Thats if he likes pulling it apart and buying new bits and putting it back together, I think its pointless but you know how mens minds work

my oh loves golf and socilising, so last year for his birthday, i made a hamper, meant i got to keep the nice box :D added bonus and he got all the neat stuff inside. I went to a craft shop and found some golf paper for scrapbooking, so i had that all torn and layered the box with it, then i had just gone around lots of shops buying inexpensive golf items, like tee's, golf balls, and various items, i also added a personalised beer tanker, and 2 specialist beers, he loved it!!!

For your sister, how about a nice gift set from The body shop or Lush? I know people say smellies are an easy/can't be bothered present, but i got both for my birthday and i like pretty girly things and i was delighted. I also don't like "cheap" smellies, and all the products are ace!

Woah, Now she sounds like a hard lady to buy for!
Does she have any pets?(cats/ferrets etc) If so then perhaps you could get her something to do with them, Like new collors or fish tank ornaments or even some fish? Just an idea. But my gosh thats a hard one!

To be blunt, she's a lazy moo and makes my brother work all the hours god sends, and only works a few hours a week herself.
They're always struggling as she's always buying new pets/things for pets. Its a night mare, my brother literally tears his hair out at times!!!

Ferret leads now thats a good idea.....she likes walking (well its her exercise so she says!)
