Give me some tips for how to deal with a cold

My little girl is really bunged up and full of the cold bless her.

She's not sleeping or eating much and is quite clingy and unhappy.

I'm giving her lots of cuddles and drinks and snacks. I'm using chest rub to ease the congestion.

What else shoud I be doing? What do you do for your LO when they have a cold?

My LO has a bit of a cold now, but he's playing/eating/sleeping normally so I know he's fine. When it's bad enough that it changes his behaviour and he's really not feeling well - I do just what you're doing. I've tried different things, but in the end we just ride it out! Luckily they feel better enough in a few days to get back to their normal routine. xx

One of the things we do is drop a little Olbas Oil from the chamists onto a tissue at the side of their pillow. You don't get all the stickiness of Vicks so you don;t need to give them a scrub the morning after!

i use olbas oil ...i put a few drops on a tissue and leave in the bedroon... elevate head end of mattresess and give nurofen before bed xuld


edit: also if she doesnt have a temperature ....fresh air does the world of good....just a 20 min walk would help x
