hello ladies

i have purchased some glucose tablets (like lucozade tabs) for my hospital bag as the MW on the ante natal course suggest bringing a high energy sweet like this... i have two packets, should this be enough??

i am hell for packing light, i hate taking bags everywhere and will only use a hold all travelling no matter how long for..... so i don't want to be taking much

I found them great when I was in labour with DD1 but I found the sports energy drinks even better as they quenched my thirst too! We packed quite a few bottle luckily as DH likes them too lol You'll find that you either get through loads of the sweets or hardly any so might be worth getting another pack, just to be on the safe side as they're not too expensive.

Also, make sure you pack something nice to eat after baby is here cos I wish I had done. I was absolutely starving after just 6 hrs in labour so goodness knows what I would've been like if it had been longer!

oh i will have my pate packed for my pate on toast...... yum yum yum

what drinks did you take in?? i've heard fizzy is a bad idea so something like lucozade sport?? or apple juice?

I had some toast after DD1 & it was the best toast ever with proper butter....yum!! I'm with you on the pate too though lol

I think they were Asda sports drinks which weren't fizzy. They weren't the kind like Redbull, think they would be too much lol and fizzy drinks would make you so uncomfortable too, I'd imagine!

Apple juice might be nice if its really cold but too much might make you a bit loose if you haven't emptied already, sorry if TMI but just a thought!

brill thought!!

would never have crossed my mind........

sports drinks it is then, i'm slowly stocking up what i need in my bag
