what a load of rubbish!! i'd hardly call it a survey! god knows what they'll come up with from this.

Seems kinda like they are automatically trying to make it seem like breastfeeding is not the best option and formula feeding would be better. I mean the last question is totally loaded they ask if you have problems feeding or if you gave a bottle for a caregiver... Why not ask if you have a story about a positive aspect of breast feeding or if you had a problem what you did to get over it and work past it...

My guess is its going to give really bogus results.

The questions just seem abit negative... Like were you pressured into breastfeeding!! Hmm...!! I think a better question would have been have you felt pressured into giving formula whilst breastfeeding? I've found this, from my HV etc ,as Im sure many other breastfeeding mums with smaller babies have too.... Not once during my pregnancy was I encouraged to breastfeed (by the health professionals) let alone pressured into it.

I've just completed this and had a very long rant at the end!!!:muaha:

Me too!!! Biased crap and a survey which just proves you can find a story or bias if you look or dig hard enough.....watch this space.....GMTV 'uncovers' 'evidence' that BFing is 'pushed' on mums who then find 'they have no option but to bottle feed'......talk about lies, damned lies and statistics YET AGAIN!! :hissy:

I am really sick of reading about bf being 'pushed' as if its something negative. BF is the best food that your baby can have and that's a fact. It seems only natural to me that the NHS would encourage as many women to BF as possible. The fact that only 1% of babies are exclusively BF to the recommended age of 6 months speaks volumes and is really quite sad IMO. I think its unfortunate that bf is seen as the quirky thing to do rather than the norm.

Confirms what I always thought.... idiots

 these threads have really pissed me off on here today what with the stupid woman on that classified page with her anti BF rants etc..... twats

 again!!

coccy - your dog is gorgeous! Is he/she a great dane???
