Going over due?

What are the chances of being early and late for a first baby? I know its a tiny chance of arriving on due date... So I'm trying to prepare myself for other options!!

well all of mine have been different i have had 2 on time 2 early and my surrogate baby was 11 days late lol.

i would just prepare yourself to be late and if baby comes on time bonus

My first baby came 3 days early, which was a lovely surprise as I had been warned by everyone out there, midwife etc that you usually go over with your first. However the opposite happened with my second, everyone said I would go early, as I had gone early with my first.......I ended up going 6 days over.........and believe me, every day you go over is like a week.....awful!!!! So my advice would be to expect to go over, then if baby decides to make an apperance early, its a nice bonus xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I was 2 weeks late with my first and he didnt even want to come out then..i was hooled up to all sorts of drugs to get him out..second baby went into labour on my edd he was born the next afternoon.

Have no experience with this as this is first baby but im seriously hoping this babys not too late, im chief bridesmaid for my mam 4 weeks after my dd and i need to get into my dress lol x

I'm preparing to go over with what everyone is telling me although my mum had me 6 days earlier and I was her first!

honestly hun these babies really do come when they want too mine have all varied to my 1st being 4 wks early , my 2nd was 3 days late, my 3rd was 2.5 wks early and my 4th was 1 wk late the late one's were super fast labours so for me as much as i would love this lo on time if my past has anything to go by..i will wait a few more days x

my first was one week late, my 2nd 10 days late and my 3rd 3 weeks early due to induction but I sure he would also have been late as it took them 5 days to get me induced lol

No way to predict for your individual case, but the statistical average for first babies 41+3, I think. (Also, to be really technical, I am not sure if that is the average or the median...)

My mom had all 5 of us at 42 weeks, and my grandma did the same with her kids, so I am mentally preparing to be overdue....

My first was 8days late, my second was 9days late im expecting this one to be 10 or more days late. its tough when you go overdue it feels everyday is a week lol
