Does it ever get less scary?

River is going to her little boyfriends house tomorrow, they have been indepersble since last January. I know his mum and we have mutual friends so I obviously trust her but I'm still nervous.

She's been there before for a party without me.


I'm going to be this nervous until she is 25 I think

I'd not even thought about this! Ds goes to play with his friend but we are besties and have been looking after each others boys since they were babies!
I've no idea how I'll feel about him going to his friends houses.

The girls play in the neighbours house which is 2 doors away and I still check on them a lot. I think I'm a nervous nelly

I think we always worry about our kids- that worry just changes and grow as they do... I have worries about my oldest who's almost 17 now! But the worries I have for her and my LO are for sure different... it's hard letting go sometimes! lol. But, all part of being a good parent.

DD1 is 6 and although when she's at school/childminders I'm grand but when she's at a friends house I spend the time checking my phone and checking the time so I won't be late collecting her :/

Dropped her off at 10 and she stayed until 6! She had a fab day

I looked at my phone a lot lol
