My little one is 6 months on Saturday. A month ago or so I started using a maya wrap which we had bought whilst pregnant to carry him around the flat in. Both myself and LO have grown to love it! Unfortunately it is a gorgeous shade of mustard (aka baby poo) and generally totally impractical for outdoors.
Therefore, can anyone recommend a baby carrier that I can use for the next 9-12 months indoors and out? I dont want anything with too much metal structure to it. I like the 'rucksack' type design (baby worn on front and/or back) best.
Many thanks in advance :flower: xx

we have a chicco one, ill find a link!

I can highly recommend the Rose and Rebellion baby and toddler carrier! (3 months to approx 4 years) it's a soft structured carrier with no metal bits, can front or back carry, comes in pretty patterns with a black reverse.
I can stuff it into my handbag and get it out when Ruby gets tired (she walks mostly now)

Very comfy.

thats it there, only we have it in red. theres no metal in it as far as i can tell.

we have baby bjorn (i think thats how its spelt) and i love it ! been using it since birth its light weight and sturdy.

The baby bjorn we found too uncomfy by around 7 months, so I would not recommend that for an older baby, neither OH or I are weaklings at all but we felt like we needed physio after a 10 minute walk carrying Ruby after about 6 months.

Thanks for the recommendations ladies, I have looked at them all and they all look good. I LOVE the designs on the rose and rebellion one :) xx

I love both of mine, I have the connecta as well as the rose and rebellion. Both are SO comfortable. I'd definitely recommend either!

I have a moby & love it. I want to get an Ergo carrier - they look great

I think rose and rebellion are supposed to be good (and I'm very curious to try one myself :happydance:) but other ones which are good are the ergo, manduca and beco.

The Bjorn isn't good for heavier babies and neither is the mothercare own bran bjorn equivalent according to some peeps. :flower:

This...well, after 4 months anyway. I also felt it made LO hold his arms back in a weird looking position.

I'd also recommend a mei tai [or similar, but with buckles if you prefer like the Rose & Rebellion]...also Babyhawk and Connecta are pretty popular...maybe look at Olives & Applesauce, Kindercarry/Kinderpack, Bamberoo..there are loads of lovely ones :)
