My right breast usually produce lot of milk, but today I noticed that it not longer satisfy my baby. I thought that probably was due to his higher milk demand after his growth spurt, 2 days ago, but then noticed that I had a rock hard patch on my upper inner part of my breast. Then I noticed that there is a white spot on my nipple. So I guess I have a blocked duct and a milk blister?

How can I get rid of it? I tried massaging and compressing my breast to try to softer the hard spot under the shower, and also when the baby is feeding, but it is not working. Also rubbed the blister with cloth and I am putting my baby to suck on this breast, but it is still not working.

I am afraid that if I cannot unblock the duct, it will turn into mastitis..... any suggestion?

Saw that there was little a little something in the middle of the blister. I used my finger and pull that out and the milk started flowing from there. Just put my baby to suck and the hard mass seems to be gone!!!! :happydance: So happy to feel my breast soft again!

I have had blocked ducts before, and also a mild case of mastitis... I read that taking Lecithin supplements can prevent this from happening. Anyone tried this?

I've had a few milk blisters before and like you just let baby keep feeding and it went away!
Glad you got it sorted :hugs:

I don't know about the supplements xx

Good on getting the block out. I basically have a permanent milk blister on one side. It keeps healing and coming back. I also get blocked ducts regularly. I've been taking the lecithin and it definitely has helped. I get a lot fewer blocks and usually only get them when I forget to take the supplements. I have to squeeze out little milk grains in the shower every day :(

I've had a milk blister for the past 2 weeks, OMG it was painful, its still there now but isn't painful anymore so im hoping its sorting itself out now! Never had one before.
