So I just had my 31 week appointment withGP We don't know what sex the baby is and we chose not to find out for a reason. We don't want to know. Anyway when it came to him examining me he said "he's moved. It is a boy?" so I said "we don't know the sex" and he replied "oh it is a boy". He said the same last week as well.

Is there any way he could know? Would they write some sort of code on my notes? X

I doubt they would now hun and no they dont write any codes in your notes as it makes no difference to the health of you or your baby or the care you need. I bet your gp was just guessing using old wives tales by the way the heartbeat sounds and also how the baby feels this is in no way accuarate my mw was adamant I was having a girl even though I had 5 scans all confirming it was a boy

My mw always says mine's a boy, she's always saying 'he' etc but we have had it confirmed that 'he' is a 'she' yet she still says 'he' :)

My midwives say "she" for all of them.
I asked when we had our first scan if they would be writing down sex on any notes, cause I didn't wanna know and Ricki did, and she said "No, we NEVER write it on notes, it makes no difference to the baby, unless asked a lot of sonographers wouldn't even check the sex apart from to make sure it was all growing correctly"

Don't worry hon. If it turns out you ARE having a boy, I'm sure he just guessed it. you still don't know, and don't set yourself up for it being a boy either, he wouldn't know without a scan and it ISN'T in notes.
