Granulation tissue? Silver nitrate?

Today I had an apt to check on how my perineum is healing. I had an episiotomy which has given me few problems the past 4 weeks! I noticed the past few days it began to sting again whenever I went toilet. At the appointment she showed me that the area has healed but the pain is caused by extra tissue which has formed on the area. She burnt the area with those silver nitrate sticks and that was horrific! The pain was awful! She wanted to continue on my grazes inside vagina but I refused as I didn't want pain inside there

Has anyone else has this done?! I'm so worried that I'll never feel normal again
