Ok, I am the worlds biggest worrier, and I google endlessly. Anyways, I know green poop is bad, and the past 2 days Elliot has had greenish poops and its been more thick? :( I did take 4 senokots in that time period without thinking, but the last was the night before last, and his poop is still greenish today.

Nothing has changed. Still feeding the same, every 2 - 3 hours, good latch (I think) and the only new food I have eaten is eggs.

When does this become a concern where I would talk to a lactation consultant or his doctor? I am worried that he is getting more foremilk than hindmilk, because thats what google has said, but nothing has changed. Why would my supply randomly change? :( Would the stool softeners make his poo change? I read senokot is not good when breastfeeding, but it was too late when I read that.

Is it normal for their poops to change, its not like dark green, just more green than yellow I would say.
Any help would be appreciated!

Good question, my LO had a greenish one last night but its more yellow again today.
It worried me by googling it, so i dont know...hope someone else answers your question!

I had a big worry over this and still didn't get answers. Basically what happened was that 2 weeks ago we had 4 days of constantly green poop. HV said not to worry unless LO doesn't gain weight, or there are other symptoms like fever etc. I was paranoid that my LO didn't gain weight because of these explosive green poos, but she did put lots on. I spoke to my GP with no clear answers and also to lactation consultant who suggested a few possibilities. it could be a mild tummy bug that will sort itself out, or dairy intolerance or fore milk/hind milk imbalance. After a few days of feeding from 1 breat at a time and offering the same one within 2 hours it improved after 4 days. I also cut out dairy, just to try for 2 weeks.

We were back to yellow poos and suddenly we are back to green. One of my theories is that after every growth spurt or feeding frenzy she increases my supply and in the following days, she doesn't feed that often and must be getting more fore milk?

We got back to green poos again after 2 days of non stop feeding. She is now feeding only every 3-4 hours, not every hour and my boobs are quite engorged. I hope it will disappear, not sure if my theory could be right?

Some babies are prone to green poo after a growth spurt or an increase in supply, if it settles down after a few days it really is nothing to worry about xx

Makes sense to me! Hopefully we all get back to normal right away! But it sounds like this could be a normal thing. His are more yellowish today. Well he just had one more green one but I was happy to see yellow today.

Man, poop is so confusing haha. I think I look and analyze it too much.

Sometimes a baby can have something called a transient lactose intolerance, which means something has upset their tummy and for a few weeks they might have green poo but it will settle down again. Foremilk and hindmilk imbalance produces frothy poo and will not settle down if it continues.
I would give it a week and see what's what, if your LO doesn't seem uncomfortable then you're probably fine :) x
