Gripe water question

Hi ladies I was wondering if there are any long term effects from using gripe water. Lewis has colic and its the only thing that helps settle him but worried if I keep using it everyday it might have an effect on him. Or am I just worrying for nothing? x

iv tried looking into it and i think there have been no studies on babys/young children. But my LO has 25ml of gripe water a day and has done since 4weeks old. Its the only thing that helps his wind x

That I am aware of no there is no long term effects from using it as its pretty much all herbal (been a while since we had any so I cant check the ingrediants)

Only problem we found was LO got a bit too used to the taste and would start moaning at us for his sweet fix but he soon forgot about it after a while

This happened to us! lol After every feed she'd cry until we gave her Gripe Water, and as soon as she had it she'd stop and be happy!

We haven't had it for over a month now though so she's over the craving side of it!
