Hello ladies.

We bought a groegg from Mothercare and I think it's absolutlely crap !

It always says that the temp is 23 - 24 in our bedroom on the evenings and it just isnt, its warm, but not that bad. I thought that it would quite good considering Ive seen it in all the baby mags.

After getting it and thinking it was rubbish, I then looked at reviews and alot of people are saying the same. that its really inaccurate, One person said his was as much as 4o hotter than his other 2 thermometres were reading. Surely something that's sole purpose is for telling the temp, they should make sure it can read the tempertaure. I'm going to take it back at the weekend and get a different one. Any ideas which to get? Anyone else had any troubles?

Ive got this to but have to say Ive not had a problem with it, then again I haven't compared it to any other thermometers.

I couldn't be without mine now.

Sorry I don't have any reccommendations bit maybe you could exchange it for another one and see if you have the same problem ? Maybe its just a faulty one.

We haven't had any problems with ours? where do you put yours?

I like mine. I dont have another thermometer to compare it to though.

Iuse that one - it does often read 1 degree higher then the other thermometer in the room - but it is in a dif place - not sure if that would make a dif xx

It definately depends where you put it. I can get a 1 degree different on the shelf to on the changing table. Drafts make a difference too or the height it's at.

I've checked mine with the hipp and nhs room thermometers i've got and they all seem to be the same temp so i can't really say i've had a problem with mine!!! Its kept above the cot on a shelf.

I've only seen a couple of bad reviews but most are good!!!

We have one of these and I find them great. I tested it with a normal thermometer that we had free with a sleeping bag, and they are the same(obv not spot on as one is digi) Do you have it next to anything warm? Our monitor that has a temp on it is always higher, because it is right next door to the sky box/TV, so we never look at that. That is where we first had the gro egg, so we moved it to a shelf above the cot. and the free normal one is above our bed, and they match.

We had one for Alex and thought it was rubbish. Next time I'll just stick to using a good old fashioned card one, I found them to be much more accurate. xx
