Growth scan

I've got a letter saying i've been booked in to have 2 growth scans.

One at 28wks and one at 34wks.

Do you think its because my last baby was a biggy? (9lbs 11.5ozs)


I was going to ask for one at 34wks anyway, but i didn't expect two!

yeah! I have two aswell. One booked in for 20th Dec and the other will be booked then for Jan. Mine is because i'm overweight but you also get them when you've had a baby that was a big weight. It's nothing to worry about, they just check if they baby is too big/small. I'm kinda glad that I have them cause I'm such a worrier! it's nice to see her in there! Plus this way my mum/nan/sister/Oh's mum have all had a chance to come see haha!

I'm having one at 30 weeks due to my bmi of 38 xx

Im also overweight, my BMI is 35 so that might be another reason.

My first baby isn't big anymore, she is very skinny and tall

Im looking forward to seeing the baby more. Means i will have had 6 scans this pregnancy

I'm having just one, at 28 weeks (that's of course so long as they don't find anything amiss at that one I suppose...) but mine's because the consultant I saw after my 12 week scan (who I didn't know from Adam) deemed that my twins were small when they were born. Everyone else who's seen my notes since have said "Why have they booked you in for a growth scan? They were a perfectly good weight for their gestation!" But I'll not knock it, any extra checks / reassurance is only GOOD GOOD GOOD!
