For those of you who expressed very early on for stockpiling/supply, did you find it easier to get through growth spurts by easing off on the pumping for a few days while your LO was feeding more frequently?
I was thinking about it yesterday while the monkey was permanently attached to the boob and thought that if I'd been expressing regularly (I intended to, just never quite got there yet), that he would have had an easier time meeting his 'needs' and my boobs wouldn't need to adjust so much to meet the demand, and once the growth spurt was over, I could have resumed expressing to increase supply beyond his needs on my own less frantic, tiring schedule...
It seems simple so I have to be missing something otherwise why do they recommend you not even start expressing until around now if you don't need to?
