Bra sizes have always confused me.. but now I need to buy nursing bas which are even more expensive I wanted to make sure I was ordering the right size coz I never get round to sending things back if they dont fit lol.

I've just used several websites to measure my bra size.. and they all come out saying 40A or 40AA. Not only is it impossible to find a bra in that size, even a normal bra.. but even the websites that are telling me that I'm this size don't sell bras in that size!!!

Atm most of my bras are 34D, the cups fit me perfectly, but they are a bit tight under my boobs - yet if I buy a 36D, they fit nicely around but the cups are too big, but a 36C cup is too small! lol
I've litrally tried bras in every size possible, and theres not a single one that fits both cup and under my boobs!

I'm 36" under bust and 40" at the fullest part.. any other ladies happen to have the same measurments and have a nice fitting bra so I can steal your size!? :haha:

What about buying a 34D bra and then buying one of those hook extender things?? Or have you tried that already?

You know, I suggested that to my mum only yesterday for her bra, but the thought hadn't crossed my mind for myself  Great idea, thanks!

Im 31" under bust... and 38" around...

Now where the hell do I find a bra in my size? LOL

maybe we should invent our own simple measuring and bra sizes system and sell it to all bra companies!! :haha:

You could always get measured at marks & spencer or debenhams to double check what size you are then go online to check for nursing bras.

At least then you'll have a definite size.

Mothercare do bra measuring as well, and they should be trained in knowing about nursing bras.

That said, I got measured by them the other day and still had to go out and buy bra extenders. My rib cage must expand when I sit down or something because my bra digs into me when I'm sitting down but is fine when I'm standing.

Nursing bras are a bit more forgiving with them not being underwired

I've never wanted to go somewhere like that to get measured properly, coz they make you feel obliged to then buy a really expensive bra from them!! lol. My sister went to M&S to get measured a couple of years ago , persuaded her to buy a £30 bra 'in her right size' which she never wore coz it was big enough to fit 3 of her into!!! :haha:

Don't let them bully you into buying something you don't want!!

Just say you wanted to double check that you hadn't changed size over the past wee while and thank them for their service.

Try Debenhams. I've been there 3 times this pregnancy and never felt any pressure from them to buy anything.

I dont know if we have a Debenhams around here.. I'll have to have a google! I'd just feel really stingey for walking out without buying a bra after :haha:
