Went shopping with Max yesterday and treated myself to new mobile as old one was about 3 years old... thought I was being very economical keeping the same since before Max was born!! :haha: Anyway found a samsung one for 50 euro that had ab lovely hello kitty pic on the back... major cuteness :cloud9:

Got home and charged it and started dinner, turned around to see new phone swimming in a rivier of Maxs spilled ribena, screen went funny and phone died, RIP new phone

    DH laughed... thanks.

So decided not to worry too much and will now treat myself to proper sturdy cool mom phone.. so android or iphone or blackberry ??

I would go for a phone that doesn't trace your footsteps/ also might be cheaper to repair the phone . Also often when you dry the parts of the phone you can get it working again.

I have an Iphone and love it. I thought I'd hate it actually but I got it for $19 so I couldn't really refuse lol. I really like all the free apps I can get for it.

Oh and for future reference, you can try and save your phone (or any other electronic) by taking it all apart (separate battery from phone, remove the cover etc) and throwing it in a bowl of white rice and letting it sit for 24 hours. The rice absorbs access water. But it usually only works if you do it RIGHT as it gets wet.

My son put my iPhone in a cup of tea a few months ago! The warranty had expired but Apple aftercare is great so got a replacement handset.
