The first ever meet up of the GTA girls Where: Toronto Zoo "ONLY AT THE TORONTO ZOO! SHARKS AT STINGRAY BAY - A TOUCHING EXPERIENCE Friday May 15 to Monday October 12, 2009 Tickets* are only $3 and FREE to children 3 and under." Date: May 22 Time to be decided List of who is coming: Vickie, Hannah, and Stan Tyff, Claire and Phil Ryder & Jasmine (maybe) Natalie & Grady Let me know in this thread if you are coming or are a possibility and I will add your name to the list.
Well I figured those of you driving in could pick a time, early doesn't work well for us either because by the time Hannah's fed, dressed etc. it's usually 9-10 and than she most often goes down for a nap Than again my early is like 7 a.m. because that's when she gets up for the day
K well Jasmine doesnt wake up until 7:00 some days and doesnt usually eat until 7:30-8:00... So add at least 3 hours or so onto that bettween getting both of us ready and the drive. I can leave right after she's ate though.... so im sure we could make it by 10am or so depending on what Nats schedule is like.
Tyff? How long of a drive do you have and what would be a good time? One thing for us is that if we're there during lunch we will have to find a place to feed Hannah...though I'm sure the zoo has places?
Claire normally starts her day around 7 or 8am. We're about an hour and a bit more from the Zoo methinks. It's only about 45mins to get to Toronto from Barrie, but we also have to factor in getting to Scarborough and the crappy Toronto Traffic. Phil knows that stuff better than I do, just give a time and we'll be there. I'll need cell numbers though! In case something happens where we need to pull over to feed or change Claire so I can give people a heads up.
The Zoo has lots of different areas with picnic tables and what not Vickie! They're well equipped for stuff like that. Just looked on the website, and there is a "family centre" for changing/feeding babies and what not! Grady doesn't usually get up til around 8/8:30ish. But - he'll sleep the whole car ride, so I could probably wake him up if need be and do a quick feed so he's good to go and then he'll pass out most of the day! LOL. Since it's not the long weekend like I thought it was, I won't be in Cobourg. But - since my mom and Andrew's parents are both there. I can probably just go there the Thursday and stay over, because like I said, if we're all getting together, I def don't want you to miss it Joss!!!
Tyff - it shouldn't be TOO bad for traffic. Maybe once you hit Kings Rd it might be a little busier... but once you're heading East on the 401 it shouldn't be too bad. Especially since we won't be meeting first thing in the morning, I'm assuming you'll be coming in as the traffic starts easing up! Too bad the little ones are toooo little, or I'd say meet at wonderland..
10 or 11 works well for us. Don't want to be out too late as some of you will have to drive home plus Hannah's kinda cranky after 4-5 and I wouldn't want to put you through that Thanks for the info natalie! Hannah wouldn't be happy if I didn't feed her
hmm I feel bad Nat! I dont want you to go to any trouble... im sure I can meet you guys some other time.
Don't feel bad! I was telling Andrew about it, and he said to just try and get grady's next appointment on the 21st! That way I have to go to Cobourg anyways! No worries hun!! Plus, the gramma's always love seeing little mister Grady!
I wish I could come, but I don't think I'll be able to handle the walking by that time. Boo! Maybe next time around!
Yikes for me its a 6 hr drive ive done longer so we will try to make it possible , hubby will be starting a new job so hopefully he wont work week-ends but put us down for it Mel , max & seb
