Gum black spot

Not sure if my lo is bit old for baby club but wasn't sure where else to post (14months)

i have just noticed my lo has a big black spot on his top right gum? Has anyone else's had this? Im Totally paranoid it's some horrid gum disease now!!

Possibly a teething related bruise?

Is it possible that it's just a bit of stuck on food? Maybe you can get it off with a toothbrush?

Could also be a small scab? It could happen if your lo accidently scratched himself.

It's probably not anything big, but keep an eye on it and see if it doesn't go away in about a week or so.

It's not food cos I tried to wipe it with my finger, I wondered about teething but never noticed it with his other teeth I will be keeping a close eye.
They are a worry!

I agree it could be teething related, Alex had bruised looking gums where his top front teeth were about to erupt for a couple of days, sort of dark purple colour where the blood was pooling I guess. It disappeared after they cut through. x
