Gutted with MIL's reaction

I'm sorry this didn't go down positively. Try to forgive her in your head, once she sees her grandchild she'll be all gushy and happy. Negative people sometimes can't help themselves!
My mother announced while we were ttc that she'd never babysit for us, I couldn't believe it! Then with dinner with my aunt, her sister, she said she gave all of her knitting and sewing stuff away. Her sister turned to her and asked don't you want to knit for your grandchild? She didn't hesitate to shake her head. All those times she drove 20 minutes to walk my sisters dog and shovel her sidewalks, and I get the speak to the hand treatment. It's pretty hurtful, at least I'm aware I'm not her fav child!

That's awful 2have :-( I hope she changes her attitude when she sees her grandchild xx

Let us know if she starts to come around ;)
