Had my 6w 3d scan today

Just had my 6w scan. I'm 6w 3d now.
We could see the gestational sac, yolk sac and fetal pole. But it's apparently too early / fetal pole is too small to see the heartbeat. So the doc is having me come in exactly a week later.
She did say that everything looked good and she expects to see the heartbeat next week.
Is this normal? I was hoping we'd see the heartbeat today. Feeling a bit bummed.

Different for everyone I'm guessing . I had my scan today at 6+3 and we saw the little heart beating away. Good luck next week!!

I pretty much was told the same thing at my ultrasound a couple days ago. Doctor located just the sac & fetal pole. He thinks everything looked really good! I was also scheduled to go back in a week for another ultrasound. Hopefully, we both get to see little heart beats next week! A week can make a big difference in development at this point in pregnancy

I'm hopeful because my m/s symptoms are only getting worse. So that must be a good thing. It's the waiting that kills me.
