Evening ladies and babies. So on wednesday sept 1st I decided to reluctantly clean the house and have a general sort out. At about 3pm my dad came over to take my dd out to the park to give me a lil break. When he left I sat down and started to get pains every 5 mins pretty much straight away, pretty painful too! Called my oh after just 20 mins to come home from work, called labour ward who wanted me in to check me over and rushed to the park to explain to my dad what was happening. So at about 5.30pm we reached the hospital. Went in was examined and only 2cms but in alot of pain. Nurse said go get some food, walk around and come back in 2 hours. After 30 mins the pain was unbearable so went back. When I got there my waters went and pain got loads worse. She checked me again, about 45 mins from the last time and was 7cms! 5cms in 45 mins! So they got me ready on the bed for the pushing stage and even turned his cot on the keep warm. This was about 8pm and my body really wanted to push, I had no control but was only 8cm's and he was facing the ceiling instead of the floor hense the need to push before being ready. I got stuck at 8cm's for a couple of hours and after not coping with just gas and air I opted for an epidural. The relief was amazing and it stopped me really damaging myself as I stopped pushing when I couldn't stop before. So at midnight I started to push with aid of midwifes instructions but after 2 hours of pushing he had barely moved they got the dr in who suggested a ventouse delivery and an episomity! I was so scared. Before I knew it tho dawson was out within 3 contractions with help from the station cap. Plus no cut tear or graze in the end and he weighed in at 9lbs 9ozs! I am so in love with him. Still in the hospital now, his feeding is a bit poor so trying to get him feeding properly before going home. Hope it tho makes sense am writing this on my phone. Will add pic when i'm home. Good luck to all and labour dust to those in need Xx
