Had my first MW appointment

I went for my first appointment today. Lots of admin and a bit underwelming. Considering I have no clue how far along I am and the unreliability of my last period date, I was surprised they just dated me at 12 weeks and put a standard snail mail form in for a scan request - that will be processed and I'll get a date come through in a couple of weeks for my scan.

I'm so tempted to go for a private scan to get a date! I feel like I'm flying blind here!!!

I haven't had a scan yet and I'm 10 + 2 days. I went for the first time when I was 8 weeks and all they did was have me take a pee tested that confirmed I was pregnant and then the doctor checked me out. All he said was, "yup, that feels like an 8-10 week uterus." lol. But my last period was Nov 5th, so I'm pretty sure I am on track. My husband and I do want to book a private scan as well. I've heard lots of good things about them. Good luck to you!!

Had my booking appointment yesterday too. Should have my 12 week scan in 3-4weeks 😆
