Had my first scannnn

Finally had my dating scan

I have a due date of 21-04-16

Making me 12+4

It puts me back a week but I was guesstimating so I'm totally cool with it plus it hopefully means I will get to finish my training (finish mid march) without the need of a break.



Just wanted to share ... Anyone due around the same time?

Congratulations! I'm quite a ways behind you, but just wanted to say yay! I also know what it's like getting a due date that is like YES! I don't have to take time off! Or if I do it will only be a week or so.

No official due date yet but think I'll be due around 29th April but will be having a section a week or 2 before due to complications last time!

I'm only 6 weeks, due in June 2016 but holy cow how did you go waiting 12 weeks for your first scan? I have my first scan next Monday and I am so anxious to find out whether everything is ok.

I don't think I could wait the whole first trimester! Congrats on getting a due date and bub being well x

Wish85, scans depend on country/area and doctor. Especially here in Canada, no one has a scan before 11 weeks(unless there's a good medical reason or a need for a dating scan). And even then, the 11-13 week scan is often optional and not always covered by health care. So some women don't get a scan until week 20. It's perfectly normal. Not fun, but normal.

Yeah I know each country is different but I was thinking from a patience point of view how did she go with waiting. In Australia you usually wait until the 12 week scan too but I begged my Dr to give me a referral because I didn't want to be a stress head for 3 months!

Yeah in my area UK we get a dating scan between 10-14 weeks and a 20 week scan unless a bleed or any worries.

It wasn't too bad a wait, time has flew by up till now I'm sure second tri will be a slow one for me

I'll no doubt see some of u through 2nd & 3rd to share our qs and moans lol
