Had sweep today

Well what a painful experience!! Won't be doing that again in a hurry. On the plus side it was quick but for most of the day now I have had period type pains, which is too be expected but my bump has been so tight too, almost like I'm having a constant braxton hicks, if that makes sense. It is so uncomfortable

ditto slight period pains all day, way stronger tightenings but thats about it! ive got to admit i didnt find it painful at all so maybe mine wasnt done right! good luck x

Well pains have subsided a bit today, been having very mild period type pains infrequently. Had a little spotting but that has stopped now. Dont feel like anything is going to happen today so hopefully tomorrow x

I also had a sweep yesterday at 40 +1 midwife seemed very pleased said my cervix was over 1 cm dilated soft central and could feel the baby's head she said it was a very easy sweep to perform and that i should go into labour within the next 24 hours or so....i'm still waiting no bloody show or anything just cramping period like pains which i was having anyway prior to sweep. I didn't even think the sweep felt uncomfortable. I am just fed up waiting now tried allsorts my daughter was born at 36 + 5 so i have gone almost a month more with this pregnancy. Hope baby arrives soon!
