How do I do it! I've put it off long enough and now his hair is constantly in his eyes and the back is turning into a mullet :dohh: I'm really nervous about doing this, since he's never really still, but I don't want the hair in his eyes to affect his vision. Anyone have any tips? Especially for a really wiggly, curious baby?

I take ds1 to the hairdresser and have done since he was about 6 months as he was born with lots of hair and it was getting in his eyes. He just sits on my lap and I entertain him while the hairdresser cuts it.

Our LO just got his hair cut a few weeks back! My hairdresser comes to my house so she just did his as well. I held him and he was super wiggly but he LOVES getting his hair done (strange I know :haha:) so he was happy! She moved quick and it's not perfect obviously but she just tidied it up around the edges (above his eyes, ears, back on his neck etc.)

My oldest has had about 5 haircuts now and I luckily have my mom come to my house to do it, but I make sure he has a toy and then I'll put an episode of Mickey on my iPad and he tends to sit pretty still.

I cut my babies hair while shes sat in the bath. I have to be quick.. and its not the best haircut in the world, but it looks a lot better when shes not got the long straggly fringe!

What type of scissors do you use?

I've cut Ashley's 4 times already. My OH entertains him while I cut it. It's not the best haircut and it's a bit wonky at the back but it's better than it being in his eyes. I use the baby nail scissors out of his grooming kit as I think it's the safest option.

I'm ashamed to say I use her baby nail scissors  just because they are rounded so I'm less scared of cutting her by accident if she moves too quick. Not the best way to cut her hair neatly though
