When is it I will feel uterus hardness above pubic bone? I'm coming Upto 12 weeks soon and still feel nothing done there :'( and its making me slightly worried

anyone else know when should come up or in same boat as me? Xxx

My friend had a simular situation...something about her uterus was growing more inside and back(toward spine) then outwards and front...that totally doesn't make any sense...sorry..lol but I have a tilted uterus(tilted outwards) so I'm showing way before I'm supposed too...maybe yours is tilted inward...?!?! I donno...sorry...Just giving my 2 cents...haha :hugs: sorry if this didn't help :(

mines not perminent but mainly in the morning, with my son it was constantly there and v prominent... Everybody is different though, maybe see ur gp and ask them to have a feel? It maybe more 'inside' you then coming outward??

sorry, should of added...she didn't start "showing" until she was 8-9 months..and still was not big at all!! Just a little bump...it was soo strange..haha but it was a 9lbs baby girl!!

Mine is there and I can feel it. Just really noticed the other day, so not sure when it actually started.

what are you feeling for? Just a hard edge above you pubic bone? This is my third and never really felt for it before this one. I am so "gooshy" down there from my other two anyway lol

Mine suddenly popped up over night. I woke up one morning around 13 weeks and it was just there!

Thats called a retroverted uterus, I have it too. Its just that instead of tilting forwards towards your bladder like most womens do, the uterus tilts backwards towards your back. Its actually quite common, think around 20% of people have it (or there abouts) and it should not cause problems for a pregnancy. I've read that the uterus automatically corrects itself at around the 12-13 week mark and so I wouldnt worry if you're not showing yet, it could just be this! If you ask your midwife or doctor on your next scan they should be able to tell you whether or not it is retroverted (if it has not already popped forward by then!) x x x x
