Has any one had ovarian drilling surgery?

Hi girls


I have been told i need to have ovarian drilling on my ovaries as i have PCOS and have been LTTTC for 6 years however they will only perform the surgery once i bring my BMI from 31 to 29.

Im just wondering if there was any one out there that has had this procedure and if so did it help you concieve?

I've had the proceedure about 3 months ago now (As well as endo removal and hsg) and when they did my second op (for the finishing up after endo removal) he said one of my ovaries is ovulating so I'm guessing it's done something Sorry i can't be more specific than that sorry.

Hey lady blush, I too am awaiting an appointment for ovarian drilling and the dye test (didnt want to read and run!). I dont know alot about it and would be interested to see what others experiences of it are & whether it works!!?

Mine was done on Aug 9th. I got AF a few days later, and have O'd around day 24/25. Just waiting for AF or BFP now!

Before this I havent had natural AF, or O'd at all since my m/c in 2006.

I have mild PCOS and my FS explained I had the option of taking Metformin, or Ovarian Drilling. Of course, Ovarian Drilling gives a better chance of BFP. However, in a few years, the operation will be required again if intend to conceive.

I opted for Metformin, which was non-invasive and got my BFP so didn't need to try for Ovarian Drilling.
