1. While getting some shopping out of a big trolley my bump was clearly in the way as I'm short.

The man behind me at the till insisted on putting the rest of the shopping on the belt for me which was really sweet.

2. Yesterday we were at our friends and her nan (no relation to us) gave me a parcel. She had knitted 3 baby cardis and 3 beautiful blankets for us. It was so lovely that she had thought of us.

It's seems there are people still willing to do something nice without expecting something in return.

Anyone else?

Not really, had one person hold a door open for me yesterday, but thats about it.

Aww how nice

Yesterday i wrote on fb that i really fancied chocolate but didnt have any  an hour later a girl who i know round here but only met a few times turns up at my door with a huge bar of choccy :) xxx

Aww what a lovely man!

Well, the mother of an old friend that I'm barely in touch with these days gave us the most beautiful pink moses basket and a tigger door bouncer... am so shocked & touched! :)

my hubby gave me one of his pillows so i could put it between my legs and under my bump when i sleep!! but then went out yesterday and bought him self some new memory foam ones!!! but other than that nope no niceness for me

Nah... I just keep getting told off for lifting heavy things by my OH lol

We've had my OH customers buy us things, which is lovely especially since they've never met me lol

Also had the daughter of someone my OH has known since he was little crochet us cardi's, booties, hats and a huge shawl :cloud9:

Sadly no. Havnt had any of that even in last pregnancy. Not even from the tesco driver who made me lift my own crates and scrabble around picking bits up they didnt pack while they stood there with pen for signing, and I couldnt even walk then as I had trapped nerve in leg and had to struggle. No one opens doors or moves out of the way here. I open doors for people though, not a thank you. I dont do it for a thank you I have manners and coudlnt ignore someone that needed a bit of help or someone elderly coming into a shop if I was going out. Even my OH who has had a broken leg from August everyone said they would some and help with my son and cleaning, its Nov now and no one has helped! not one came. Some came and sat here to keep him company while i struggled with a UTI in and out of a and e in agony.

Well I have a few days maybe a week left perhaps someone will help me or be nice to me :(

I got given a present for the LO from a girl at work who was leaving - I was so surprised! Usually it's the other way round - you buy the person who's leaving a gift!

Also, I don't know if I'm imagining it but if I'm waiting at a bus-stop with a load of other people, the bus tends to stop where I am - as if the driver is doing it on purpose to let me get on first. (The concept of queueing for a bus doesn't exist in Dublin - it can be a bit of a crush sometimes!)

My mil works for the NHS in a centre for adults with learning difficulties, she had told the ladies in her walking group that she was going to be a grandma and to a little girl, the lady went home And told her mum, her mum made us three pink cardigans and some booties.

I have never met these ladies and never will, how thoughtful x x x x

I ran for a bus 2 or 3 weeks ago and this man was walking towards me, he got on the bus just to hold it up for me & then got off when I got there

Also I bumped into a lady I used to work with but hadn't seen since she retired about 5 years ago and she said "oh I'm knitting some things for your baby." I didn't even know she knew I was pregnant, she meets my MIL for lunch and that's how she knew... so nice of her to knit things for us

And finally, my hubby! He usually hates people being late (and I usually wind him up regularly by being 5 mins late for everything). Since I've been pregnant tho he always tells me not to rush anywhere & it's better to be late than injure myself. He's done loads of nice stuff, like doing the 'big shop' by himself & packing everything away... things like that, I feel very spoilt :cloud9:

the asda guy did this to me aswell dumped them in the doorway and watched me empty them all whilst he stood there with his little signiture thingy really pissed me off wasnt happy so i went as slow as poss lol

awww some of those stories are lovely, my mil has been here helping me for 2weeks since my hospital stay and has literally done everything around the house. When in hospital my OH had to take 3days off but when he got paid his boss had paid him for 2 of the days!!

The wife of a chap who my OH has subbed work out to for around 18 yrs made us a lovely cot duvet/patchwork quilt. I think I've met her twice over the past 2 yrs. I thought it was a lovely gesture to actually make us a gift. She also bought us a yellow fleecey blanket.

My neighbour said her mum would like to make us some bootees which I thought was wonderful...until she wanted paying for them lol. Surely you dont offer someone something then ask to be paid?? If I wanted to commision someone then I'd ask surely?

My Ocado man brought all the shopping through the house to the kitchen for me last week - made me very happy as I'm not sure the insurance covers these supermarket delivery bods to come in :cloud9:

It's so nice to hear that kindness still exists especially from people you don't know.

But sadly perhaps in equal measure there are many who look after number 1.

I hope the stories of kindness keep coming.

MIL's friend (who I have never met) donated a nearly new Mama's and Papa's cot, and some beautiful bedding.

OH has started doing the housework (what was that, a pig flying by?) and cooks nearly every meal.

People have let me have a seat at the bus stop.

My friend came round the other day with some cottage cheese that was in the reduced section (she remembered that I had been craving it).

:)

The last kind thing that i can remember is a man giving me his seat at a bus stop. He was quite old so i didnt really want to take it but he insisted, i thought that was realy nice :)

A friend of my nans knitted us some beautiful cardigans and a blanket, I thought it was really lovely of her. Also I must say that my mum has been unbelievably nice to me since I became pregnant. I jokingly text her the other day asking her if she would bring me kebab meat so she called me and said 'yes, of course, do you want sauce?' :D I was quite shocked as she lives half an hour from me and the chippy is only round the corner from my house! I was only joking :)

A girl that works for my DH ( I've never met her) gave us some adorable knitted coat hangers that her Nanna made

Our friends mum gave us a teddy bear

I think it's lovely that people get so excited about the arrival of a little one!
