Hello everyone my I'm Leslie and I am 23 and my husband is 26, we have known each other for 10 years, lived together for 6 and have been married for 2. So it was about time when he came around to having a baby. We have been TTC our first for 6 months with no luck. We have gotten a little frustrated and have been trying different rooms, different times of day, every day, every other day, the list just goes on and on

Well this month I promised myself I wouldn't test until at least the day my period was due because I am a pregnancy test-aholic, its bad I just can't seem to help it because I convince myself that I am having all these symptoms. Well I did it I got to the day of my period and was actually fine till I had to go to the pharmacy to get my dogs seizure medicine and of course there is a line and what am I standing right face to face to but the pregnancy tests, and the FRER test are on sale and I happen to have a coupon in my pocket so I got them.

So it was around 6:30pm when I got home and I decided since I had gotten them I might as well just see. Well with my fingers crossed I pee on the stick, then look down and OMG its positive. We live in a large home and my best friend lives with us she was sleeping because she works night shift at the hospital and I had to go wake her up to make sure I wasn't dreaming, it wasn't a strong line but it was a line. So when my husband got home I couldn't hold it in but a few mins I asked him about his day then I told him not to get to excited but we have 2 lines and I showed him the test. He was so excited, I was so excited, he wanted to call his mom and the whole world but I told him we had to wait till at least the next day because I wouldn't believe it till I saw a doctor. Well the next day I woke up and first thing went and tried another test and NOTHING... I was like something has to be wrong so I tried another NOTHING. I just went and crawled back in bed and told my husband I was sorry, but apparently it was a false positive the day before.

As soon as my hubby went to work work I went to the drug store and bought 2 different kinds of test and tried them throughout the day and NOTHING. I was seriously devastated, but it got worse. I got online an started doing research and apparently I had a Chemical Pregnancy, which is the earliest kind of miscarriage :sadangel:. We are going to keep trying, we are going to get this but why did I have to see that positive test. I wish I would have never seen it. Has anyone else experienced anything like this and gotten pregnant after? Thanks for listening I really just needed to get all that off my chest.

How did you confirm it was a chemical pregnancy? Are you sure it wasn't an evap line on your HPT? Some brands of HPT are infamous for evap lines that make it look like you got a +.

FRERs are actually very good at not leaving evaps... I've never seen the hint of one.
I had a couple chemicals but I also know I had a low progesterone issue so once I fixed that, it seems to have stuck (still early though, I know).

I don't know if it helps at all, but you do at least know its possible! I remember the months and months with nothign but BFNs, worrying my tubes were blocked or he was shooting blanks etc...

I hear many women get a BFP the month after a chemical.. Fx'd, hope to hear good new soon!!

how many days post ovulation were you when you tested? You could have tested too early? Also, what time of day were you testing? The tests detect a certain level of the hormone, so you should always test first thing in the AM. If you tested and got the positive in the AM, and then tested again in the PM, it could explain the difference, especially if you are very close to ovulation (less than 12 day post ovulation), the chemical in your body would be very low. So yes, with a few factors it could be good or bad. Did you have any other symptoms which made you feel it was a chemical pregnancy? I recently had one (4 months ago) and my usual 30 day cycle jumped to a 49 day cycle, so thats how we knew it was chemical. It took 19 days for the chemical to come out of my body before the cycle started on its own again.

I had exactly the same thing last cycle, got a def :bfp: after LOADS of faint lines on IC, and af a day late. However, started bleeding heavily day after. Also had pg symptoms but they disappeared when af started. Announced it on here and everything, told OH and my mum and best friend, felt such a muppet.

broke my heart, but not a much as the  i lost at 10 weeks in April.

Soooo this month, opks and hpts been shelved, I dont want to know anymore about early positives. Going to wait til af at least a few days late...would rather not know about any more chemicals.

On the positive note - at least we are conceiving....it just wasnt the right time for these little ones :flower::flower::flower::hugs::hugs::hugs:

It sounds like a chemical pregnancy to me. Keep your head up and keep trying- it will happen!

i think i just had one too  im not testing early or even doing opks this cycle xx

Thanks everyone. I am trying not to be stressed but it really is hard. One of my good friends is 5 1/2 months along now and she is really starting to show to the point she can't hide it and its so cute and I am so happy for her but geez they were not trying and she was on birth control. Its crazy how all this works.

It's great to have such a great support system to share with, isn't it? This may or may not help, but for the most part our bodies want to only carry "perfect" babies, and if there is a hint something might be wrong with the baby, a miscarriage is nature's way of making sure only the fittest survive (survival of the fittest.) However, it's a lot easier for me to say it than experience it... good luck and I hope you get your "real" BFP very soon!

Hi MrsCapps, I am convinced I had a cp last month too, had same thing faint positive one day then bfn next day with 3 separate tests. FX to everyone here let's keep trying let's hope next cycle is the one x

Hello Everyone. So I was having pregnancy symptoms (sore and large breast, some unusual cramping, headaches, heart burn). So my grandma got me concerned that I maybe having a tubular pregnancy or something crazy, she always makes me worry but I sure do love her. Also she went into the hospital with phenomena and I didn't want her to be worried about me. So I made an appointment with my doctor, this is the second time I have seen this doctor and I am worried that he is going to think I'm crazy.

So I go to the doctor today and I sit with him in his office and explain to him whats going on and he tells me that I am probably correct that I did have a chemical pregnancy and my body is adjusting. He said my uterus is tilted slightly but everything we are doing was great and since we had one pregnancy we should be able to have another one. Like SPRINGBABYWNT said survival of the fittest. So fingers crossed for this months testing.

Good luck to all of you who are trying :hugs:
