I bought two boxes of size 2 nappies last week which I haven't opened yet but LO has been growing so much over the last few weeks and is using less nappies now he doesn't poop 10 times a day that I think I should have bought size 3s. I got them from ASDA. Has anyone swapped nappies for a bigger sizer or are they likely to give me some bother?

If they're not open I don't think they can refuse babe.

If you havn't opened them, and just want a straight swap, there should be no issue at all.
Even better if you still have the receipt.
If they start to be difficult, then ask to speak to Store Manager.... not the duty manager.
But you should be fine.

my sister works at asda and says with them being unopened you wont have an issue at all

Great thanks for the quick replies. I do have the receipt so it shouldn't be a problem.

Funny enough I gave an unopened packet to my mum yesterday to take back to asda as they are size 2 and he seemed to outgrow them overnight.
Iv had them for a month or so though as I just havnt had chance to take them back and swap them but as long as they are unopened I shouldnt see it as a problem.
I also have a pack to go back to sainsburys, I relay should stop buying in bulk right before his growth spurts :)

yeah as long as they are unopened they will swap them, some stores may be funny about refunds (tesco)
but ive had to return 4 boxes to asda over the past year and they've been great
(never send OH shopping for nappies, he bought size 2 when morgan is in size 4)

TBH there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between size 1 and 2 but a huge jump between 2 and 3. I still have an unopened pack of size 2s I bought from Boots to get the free changing bag too so I definitely have far too many of them.

I swapped a pack of un opened nappies for the same reason and I had no probs, just go to customer services and explain first! let us know how you get on!!x

I had to do the exact same thing at Asda. We had loads of size 2 nappies and DS started leaking out of them at night. They only let us switch one box of our two though.

It used to be ok to do so, but recently they changed their policy - or so I was told.

If they are ASDA branded you will be ok, if any other brand then no - unless you have a receipt.:flower:

Not nappies but I have had to take a box of milk back before now and they took it no problems, and gave refund.

I have taken them back before with a reciept. I actually have another box that I need to take back but I have the reciept.

I have taken some back without a reciept recently & they said we will do it this time, not sure how many times they expected me to take nappies back?

Thanks everyone - I took them back yesterday and they exchanged both boxes no problem. I had the receipt which probably helped. I was a bit annoyed that I got 40 less nappies though - that's a huge drop in the number of nappies for the same price.

I dont suppose you noticed any deals on did you, apparently they have 2 boxes of pampers (164) for £20 but my nearest one is miles away and cant be faffed if its not true :)

Yeah they had 2 boxes for £20 but if you have to drive 20 miles there and back is it worth it to save £4?
