Has sweep today...

Was admitted to hospital overnight last night, due to high bp and
trace protein in urine.

Today i was given a sweep and sent home, got to go in again tomorrow
for more monitoring, unless labour begins between now and then.

Just wanted to know, those of you who had sweeps in previous
pregnancies, did it make you go into labour and how long did
it take after sweep until proper contractions??

Sweep made me bleed a little and ive had niggly period type
pains since then (had it at around 12 midday, its now almost 4pm)

Midwife said baby's head is very low down. Dont know if thats a
sign of anything. x

hey sorry i missed that bit off my last message just got a lil bit to excited about lil one coming.. eeeeeeeeeeeek! u lucky thing not long now.

i had pre-eclampsia with my dd 9yrs ago and i was induced. i didn't get a sweep i had a pessary put in. but i only needed 1.. so i would say it shouldn't b too long fingers crossed x

This is my 1st so I don't really have any advice either.

Why don't you try DTD and taking a long walk to see if that can expedite things as well?

id like to know about the sweep aswell because im having one on wednesday if i dont go naturally before then which i dont thnk i will (im ever the optimist lately ) id like to know if it will help me go into labour naturally im terrified of being induced
