have any ladies ever needed to use provera to jump start af?

Hey ladies,

I am currently taking provera to jump start AF so I can start on my first round of clomid. I was just wondering how long after stopping provera did AF finally arrive?

Hi

I was taking Noresthisterone, kind of like provera for 10 days. I took 3 tablets a day and three days later AF arrived for 4 hours...barely....but I got major bloating which still hasnt gone away and that was a month ago, and still no AF.
They tried to give me more medication for another 10 days but my fertility nurse had me start Clomid anyway without an Af
My experience is not a good one im afraid but i didnt wanna read and run.

I think it took me about 5 days after the last pill. Definitely not nearly as long as I was expecting it to take after not having a period for mooonths.

I've taken Provera for the last 2 cycles. The first cycle I took Provera for 10 days... no AF for 3 days... then the 4th day AF arrived. I had AF for 8 days and it was quite heavy but I hadn't had AF for a year before so it was to be expected. The second cycle was much better Provera for 10 days... no AF for 3 days... then the 4th day AF arrived (same as first cycle). But I only had AF for 6 days plus 1 day of spotting, and it was much lighter overall.

It took me 3 months after stopping provera to get AF back, but my period was gone for 7 years so it will probably be faster for you.
