I am one of them, with being 5ft and 1" and I want to buy some nice clothes ready for the summer! But there is no petite maternity clothes in town or Derby!! Its getting frustrating for not able to find any! :hissy: I am a size 8 but sometimes 6. Usually the children clothes does fit me.

Do you know any website that can provide them? I dont want to order them and then delivery and got wrong size like too big for me then i'll have to send it back!

x

It seems that unless you're the 'standard/average' height then you're not allowed to be pregnant! I have the opposite problem as I'm tall, but I feel your pain.

I am 5 ft tall and have the same issue. Quite honestly, for the most part I bought normal size small maternity clothes and with the pants, I didn't even get them hemmed but pretty much walked on the pant legs for months. LOL And as for the few pairs of shorts I had, they were a bit long on me too but there was no way I was paying to get them shortened either.

For summer, what I would suggest is crop pants.

I'm 5,2 and I have the same problem, I bought cheap maternity jeans from peacocks and just cut the bottoms off, I am trying to go for the frayed look, but I think it is more scruff bag look. For my work trousers I have rehemmed the bottoms, I don't mind doing this as I normally buy normal length trousers as it is cheaper in some shops than driving 30 miles to the nearest town that has the 1 shop that sells petit trousers in our area.

If we have a hot summer then I think I'll end up buying non maternity shorts and t shirts, and hopefully it won't be to hot before I start my maternity leave and I won't have the dilemma of what to wear that is cool, smart enough for work and fits!

It seems the clothes companies think that as our bellies expand our legs also get longer! I'm yet to find a highstreet petite maternity range, but Marks & Spencer leg length tends to fit me quite well, might be worth a try? x

yes iam not alone phew !!!! i been looking for petite maternity trousers everywhere ! im 5ft an usually a size 8 but this is becoming a nightmare , like u i usually get kids trousers but now i have a bump its just not happening  ive ended up buying leggings an long t-shirts , with the 80's revival there are loads of leggings out there , there still bit baggy near my ankles but at the moment my boots are covering that  for the summer i guess i have to wear floaty dresses which some kids sizes will hopefully still fit (im really hoping) if not it will be cropped leggins  ive seen a couple of websites that say they specialise in petite maternity but to be honest i thought they looked well dodgy an i didnt wanna risk it !

Heya, I too have this problem, i am only 4 foot 11. poor us! its shoking i have been buying normal length and having to get them taken up, even some petite stuff i have got had to be taken up. lol. I am usually a 6/8 and have been buying sixe 10 tops which are fine but trousers i just cant seem to find them. xxx

Thanks everyone, I know it is not easy to find clothes that would fit us. But Funmom.com I think, I bought from there, only two vests and a top which is nice.

But not fair those shops who created by people, dont think about any people like us who gets pregnant, dont make any petite maternity clothes! :hissy: They think it is ok to make some clothes for normal/average clothes, but why they make some tall maternity clothes but not for petite!!!

i know hun makes me wanna scream !!!!! i went out today looking to a different town an still no luck !!!!

I'm 5'1" and have two pair of jeans that fit, one from Dorothy Perkins (which I think were actual petite ones) and then New Look for the other pair. (but they seem to only have the odd pair in shorter lengths) Can't help on smart trousers as allowed to wear casual to work.

Thats a problem with my work trousers, I might not be able to find a size up in case it will be big for me. I had to buy something from sewing shop, a elastic with hole in it and buttons to fix my trousers! Make me so annoying most of time.

Hopefully, I will be going to Nottingham this week with mum with luck!!

Im size 8 normally and only 5'1 and i found next maternity jeans are good... they aren't majorly long either. Also dorothy perkins had some nice combats that fit me i took them up slightly as i like to wear them with timb boots and otherwise a small bit touches the ground. Gap do some good maternity vests...... to be honest i find a lot of shops do goo non maternity if the right style and just a size or 2 bigger then normal. Im sill shopping in river island, peacocks ,primark, new look , wharehouse etc for tops. x
