Hi ladies this is my first cycle using the clearblue digital ov tester to find my LH Surge and really need some help if ive timed it right because im worried now x

Saturday CD10 = NO smiley face

Sunday CD11 = Smiley face ( LH Surge detected) :happydance:

Today CD12 we :sex: then did another tester and NO smiley face

So does that mean ive Ov today??? My cycle is generally 28 days x

Hi Poppy

It is my understanding that you usually ovulate within 12-36 hours of detecting the LH surge, so I would have thought you may still be ok. You may well have DTD on the exact day of ovulation

Oh i hope so, yesterday afternoon when i got the LH Surge the line was a bit fainter than the tester line, so late last night about 11pm i took another and the line was the same darkness as the tester, so i take that is my peak LH?? x

Thanks sweetie x

HI hun, just wanted to suggest you have a look at www.peeonastic.com as it has all the info on opk's etc you could ever want. After 3 years ttc and feeling pretty smug with my wealth of knowledge (LOL!) even i check it out once in a while, if nothing but for my peace of mind!

All the best and good luck, hun! :)

Thanks Omi but think im out this month already, i got my highest LH Surge Sunday night & had EWCM same day, yesterday me and OH did the deed but i had no EWCM so i guess i detected my surge and ovulated same day? so confusing i give up x

It is confusing! Lol... I finally had to do a little research on my own and here is what I've dug up:

The LH surge is usually detected 24-36 hrs before you O (should state exactly on the instructions). So, if at all possible, start having sex once the test is positive! Do it daily for those 2-3 days... once the egg is released (day you O), the egg survives less than 24 hrs... typically 12 (crazy huh?)- so the troops need to be present while it's making it's way through the canal to get fertilized.

I've been tracking my O for months now... and I notice I get a faint line (negative) the day before I get a positive result. Then I get a positive result for about 2 days (when the LH surge is present and I'll O within 2 days)... then another faint line (the day I O).

Hope this helps... it's a bit over whelming how much information is out on the internet. Sounds like you caught it in time though ;)

Here is a great site: https://www.babymed.com/getting-pregnant/ovulation-its-all-about-big-o

GOOD LUCK!

Ooooooooooooo i hope so Seoj because i think im losing the plot with the amount of information on the internet :haha:

On the Sunday afternoon when i tested and got the positive i couldnt do anything with OH he was away and when we did yesterday i had no EWCM that i had the prior day, with what ive read you need this to help you concieve, so im buggered this month lol, and if im not i be in total shock x

Thanks for the link sweetie and good luck to you too :hugs:

Seoj - thanks for this link, I'm 38 and TTC #1 and the info was very helpful!
